ManageFlitter - Excellent tool for managing your twitter account

Just today I was reading this interesting article about how you can give your twitter account a face-lift and make your tweets R-A-R-E in 2011.

The writer suggested to stop following people are inactive, have no profile pictures and yes even those who are not following you back using Manage Flitter. Also if you want read more on Twitter's inactive Account Policy, then click here.

I tried giving Manage Flitter a shot, and found that it is a really fast and effective Twitter tool to clean up and manage who you follow. It allows you to find out who is not following you back, inactive account you follow and easily search inside your Twitter stream.

The tool is really simple, you have to go http://manageflitter.com/ and then log in using your Twitter username. Please wait for 2-3 minutes for it to read and download your information and then it displays you the details, sample screenshot below:

Managefilter

The important information that it displays you are as below:

  • Not following back - People that you follow are not following you
  • No profile image - People that you follow have not set their profile image
  • Inactive - People that you follow have not posted in 30 days
  • Talkative - People that you follow tweet more than 5 times per day
  • Quiet - People that you follow tweet less than 1 time per day

Using this tool, I unfollowed 27 twitter accounts this morning.

Happy unfollowing!

Malaysia and Singapore Website Rankings - November 2010

"Note: This blog originally appeared on my company’s blog and link is here"

Its been an incredible year for Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. He was recently named as the TIME’s Person of the Year and his social networking site “Facebook”, added more than 100 million new users to the network in 2010 which is a remarkable achievement by any standards (Penn Olson’s Infographics here).

But comScore data clearly highlights that Facebook still has an uphill task on their hands to oust Google. According to comScore, Google was the largest website in the world by total unique visitors in November 2010, followed by Microsoft, Facebook and then Yahoo finishing at fourth position.

In Malaysia, however, Facebook retained its second position with 9.1 million total unique visitors and Google again tops the charts with 9.4 million. My last month’s post on Malaysia’s website ranking comparisons from October 2010 is here. Some other major findings from Malaysia’s November 2010 total audience data is as below:

  • Star Online is still the top news website.
  • Mudah.my is still the top local website.
  • Twitter climbed up one position this month and is at number 33 with 0.8 mln total unique visitors.
  • Linkedin is at the 135th position.
  • Foursquare is at the 260th position.
  • Utusan Group is second most popular news website.
  • Maxis Group is the top telecommunications website.
  • Paultan.org drops down from last month position and is now at the 112th position.
  • Lowyat.net falls down two position and is now at number 43.

There was not much change in the Singapore’s website rankings as well with Microsoft at number one with 2.7 million total unique visitors followed by Google with 2.5 million, Yahoo with 2.3 million and Facebook with 2.1 million. Some other major findings from Malaysia’s November 2010 total audience data is as below:

This data is from some selected sources to give you a bit of perspective of website rankings in Malaysia and Singapore. I am happy to provide anyone with the data for their particular website (for example, Average Daily Visitors, Total Minutes, Page Views, etc). Please feel free to email me or send me a tweet
